The idea of a "utopia of symbiotic economics" suggests an idealized
economic system where all actors, whether individuals, businesses, or
governments, engage in mutually beneficial relationships akin to symbiosis
in biology. In this envisioned system, cooperation, collaboration, and
mutual support would be the guiding principles, leading to shared
prosperity, sustainability, and social harmony.
All economic interactions are structured to ensure that every party
involved benefits in some way. This could involve fair trade practices,
equitable distribution of resources, and cooperation for collective
well-being. Economic activities prioritize the long-term health of the
environment and society, ensuring that resources are used responsibly and
replenished where necessary to support future generations. The system is
designed to reduce inequalities and promote social justice, ensuring that
everyone has access to basic needs such as food, shelter, education, and
healthcare. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing foster innovation and
creativity, leading to continuous improvement and the development of
solutions to societal challenges. Strong social bonds and a sense of
community are cultivated, with individuals and groups supporting each other
in times of need and working together for the common good. Economic
decisions are made through participatory and democratic processes that take
into account the needs and preferences of all stakeholders.
While the concept of a utopia of symbiotic economics may seem
idealistic, it can serve as a guiding vision for efforts to create more
inclusive, sustainable, and humane economic systems. It highlights the
potential for economic activities to contribute to the well-being of both
people and the planet, rather than solely focusing on profit maximization.
However, achieving such a vision would likely require significant changes
in values, institutions, and behaviours at individual, organizational, and
societal levels.
Where the minds are gripped with the fear of inequity, offences
mutually may not be cast upon. We used to say in Tamil “BAAYAA BHAKTHIYAY”
(with respect and worshipful mind -Bhayam is not exactly fear; it respects
arising out of a kind of fear) where mutual respects were shown; there we
thought all must get it; and strived hard to achieve them also; that was
once a Village type, where each is known to the other and perception of
progress was visible always. However, the cult of urbanisation, changed
that perceptions. So, the darkness caused the change of the ambience.
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST changed the bossism. 100 houses and 500 people in
need. So, qualifications were drafted keeping in mind the self-esteemed
properties of a few as a right way to grab that. Now mutuality is broken.
In the name of freedom, responsibility and rights, a few ruled without
making others know, they are being ruled; and those others, are asked to
wake up; but sleeping pills were given to those others daily. Who caused
all of them? Ownership in the wrong way went unchallenged.
We teach our children not to get good credits but to beat all and
grab the first rank. In the office we want to be the best. At home an
excellent father and mother. Children do not have such ideas. But we poison
them. We the originators call it as a freedom as in USA same pattern of
houses is allowed to be built and go for permission to change the bed room
locks; all in the name of equity and equality but billionaires and paupers
are asked to do the same and pauper wonders how there were so many
billionaires? Darwinean enters surreptitiously. One Hitler creates
many in line. K Rajaram IRS 21 3 24
