Q1 What are some examples of manipulation?

KR While manipulation can sometimes be subtle and difficult to
detect, it is generally considered unethical when it involves deceit or
coercion to achieve the manipulator's goals at the expense of others.
Recognizing manipulation and understanding its techniques are essential for
protecting oneself and maintaining healthy relationships and boundaries.
Effective communication, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence are
important tools for identifying and addressing manipulation. (as being done

Q5 What is the most British thing ever?

KR Spinning yarn and presenting unverified information in the pattern
of British thing. But sir do you really know 475 years real institution of
Britain? yes, there are several British institutions that are over 475
years old. One prominent example is the Royal College of Physicians (RCP)
in London, which was founded in 1518 by King Henry VIII. The RCP is one of
the oldest medical colleges in England and has played a significant role in
the advancement of medicine over the centuries.

Another example is the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn, one of the four
Inns of Court in London, which dates back to at least 1370 and received its
first royal charter in 1569. It has been a significant institution in the
legal profession for centuries.

These institutions, along with others such as the Royal Society (founded in
1660) and the Royal College of Surgeons (founded in 1800, though its roots
date back further), contribute to the rich historical tapestry of British
academia, medicine, and law.

KR IRS 21324 Sir what happened to my query any analysis from you or as
usual another rotten egg?

*Q1 What are some examples of manipulation?*

When the children passed an old house on their way home from school, they
were always rubbing their sticks on the balcony railing and enjoying the
sound. The older owner, who had been bothered by the noise for a long time,
had a really good idea instead of scolding the kids.

He called the children over to him: "Children, the noise you make sounds
very nice, I'll give you a pound a day if you keep going like this." So he
gave the kids a pound a day.

In the second week he called the children over again: "Children, my money
is scarce, I can only give you fifty pence, not a pound."

Now three weeks had passed and the old man called the children over to him
for the last time: "Children, unfortunately I have no money, so I can't
give you any more."

The children: "No money, no noise" and so they stopped rubbing the sticks
on the balcony railing.

*Q2 What is an interesting story about football?*

A2 Bethany Fletcher,8h

"When I was 14 years old, I asked my mom for a football but she said, 'No
Marcelinho, we can't afford that.'

So I went to the store and asked the owner, 'can you sell me a football? I'll
repay when I become a professional football player!'

He started laughing and said, 'Hell yes Marcelo, just remember to pay.'

Several years later, I decided to go back to the store and get all the
balls I can to give to the poor kids in my neighborhood."

“Love marriages are not allowed in our culture!” said Radha’s father.

Radha was a medical student in Delhi University. She met Rohit there.

Rohit was her lab partner, they eventually fell in love and decided to get
married.

Rohit and Radha graduated and both of them got a job.

When they reached their marriagable age they told their parents about each
other.

Rohit’s parents agreed and accepted Radha without any conditions.

But Radha’s father was against love marriages, everyone in his family
married people who the temple priest suggested.( Bio datas of people who
want a partner along with the qualities they are seeking are submitted in
the temple where the priest suggest people looking at the details)

“You’ll get married from the temple only” her father said. He even refused
to meet Rohit once.

Radha decided to go with her dad.

She met 2–3 boys through temple and finally agreed to marry one. She got
married. Her dad was happy.

She uploaded a picture on face book with her husband with a caption, “ With
my lab partner, with my life partner” [Yes she married Rohit.]

When Radha told Rohit about her dad’s decision Rohit asked her the name of
the temple they are giving her bio data, Rohit gave his bio data in the
same temple and for qualities he wrote everything about Radha, the priest
made them meet due to same profession and qualities.

Instead running away and getting married, instead fighting with her Dad,
Radha got married with her lover. Smart way to fight the traditional
thinking of the society, her Dad later accepted Rohit.

This is a true story. Just heard they are now parents to twins.

*Q4 What is the greatest April Fool’s prank you’ve ever experienced?*

A4 Vijaya Lakshmi,Have experience in life for 68 years.4y

This incident occurred a few months after I joined CIL....in 1982-83..

Our head of the department (let us call him HOD) was a strict person and
was always very serious.

He rarely laughed, just once in a month. When he was angry he did not
hesitate to say whatever that came to his mind, without thinking about the
feelings of the listener.

My note- We see such persons not rare everywhere,

Once one of our colleagues, let us call him Rajiv, committed a mistake in
his work and HOD called him to his chamber.

“This is not a mistake! It is blunder! Utter blunder!” all of us could
hear the shouts of the HOD because he never closed the door of his chamber.

“I think all the fools in the world are selected and dumped on my head” he
continued.

“If you continue to work in this way, I am going to give you a suspension
order! Blah...blah...blah...”

The high pitched scolding went on for half an hour.

Rajiv came out of the chamber with a sullen face, cursing the HOD
silently.Ultimately he corrected the mistake within a day and submitted his
work.

Fast forward one week...

The office attendant with a paper in one hand and the dispatch register in
another hand came to Rajiv’s seat.

“Sir, a memo for you” he said handing over the paper (memo) to Rajiv. He
took Rajiv’s signature in the dispatch register and left.

Now everybody became very curious because receiving a memo is very rare and
shameful too.

After reading the memo Rajiv’s face became pale. He crumpled the paper and
hit it hard on the ground.

Many people got up from their seats and surrounded his table.

 “What happened?” somebody asked.

“That *****(using a cuss word) has really got me suspended” he said
angrily.

“What? But you rectified your mistake the next day right?”

“Let me see the letter” someone else said.

They picked up the crumpled paper from the floor and started reading. It
got circulated from one hand to other.

It was an official letter with usual format like letter number, date,
subject, reference etc.

It read somewhat like this:

“Since you are committing mistakes frequently in your work, the suspension
committee has decided to suspend you from work for one week....”

Everything was official with the signature of HOD and an office stamp.

(Now let me tell you something. If someone is suspended from work even for
a week, it would be a big stain on his career).

While everybody was silently cursing the HOD, he came out from his chamber
and walked straight to Rajiv’s table.

“So, did you receive the memo?” he asked very seriously.

“But sir what grave mistakes have I committed? Even if I committed some, I
have always rectified them”

“I did this, so that others will learn a lesson from this memo” he said
still seriously.

 “But sir......”

“Wait! Did you notice the letter number?” HOD asked.

For every official letter there would be a number with a combination of
many strings, numbers and special characters. Nobody bothers about that
number while reading a letter. The letter number is only for reference.

Rajiv opened the letter and read the letter number loudly

It was somewhat like this:

 “Coal-India/Finance/Bill-Section/April Fool/20197 dated 01/04/****”

On hearing that everybody including Rajiv laughed loudly. The desk calendar
on his table showed the date as 1st April.

HOD also laughed loudly fulfilling his quota of that month.

“This man is really unpredictable” Rajiv muttered after the HOD had
returned to his chamber.

End of all fools day story!

M*y note- After 10 days April fool day is coming please*

*Q5 What is the most British thing ever?*

A5 Andrew Wiltshire,Retired School Teacher and global Traveller
Updated 2y

I arrived at a very old and very prestigious school for a job interview as
a teacher. The first thing I thought upon arrival was “Oh my God! This
place is way outside my comfort zone.” It looked just so venerable and
posh. Much of the building was Tudor (1547ish) and extensively re-modelled
in Victorian gothic. It was imposing and intimidating as a potential
workplace.

But then I walked into the school office and Reception and there on the
Reception desk was a letter “In-Tray” with a huge ginger Tom Cat curled up
alseep in it. I thought that “only in a very old, very British, very
eccentric school that was very sure of itself would a cat be sleeping in
the Reception Desk in-tray.”

The cat was called Henry and he had the run of the whole school and
everyone loved him.

Anyway, I got the job and was ringing round various companies to acquire
new equipment for my Technology lab. One company I wished to use had no
supply contract with the school and so I was asked by their representative
on the phone to set up a credit account. The conversation went like this:

“We will need some business credentials for your company in order to set
up the credit account”

“Yes of course; what do you need to know?”

“Firstly, how long has your business be operating?”

 “Four hundred and seventy-five years”

“Ah. I don’t think there will be any problem setting you up with a credit
account”.
