அபிஷேகத்தின் போது லிங்கத்தில் நண்டு வெளிப்படும் அதிசயக் கோவில்!

தொலைவில் உள்ளது திருத்தேவன்குடி அருள்மிகு கற்கடேஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில்.
இக்கோயில் நண்டாங் கோயில் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்திரனின் சாபத்துக்கு
ஆளான கந்தர்வன் ஒருவன் நண்டாக இந்தத் தலத்துக்கு வந்து சிவனை பூஜித்தார். அந்த
நண்டு தினமும் நள்ளிரவில் தீர்த்த குளத்தில் பூத்த தாமரை மலரை பறித்து கோமுகம்
வழியே உள்ளே சென்று இறைவனுக்கு சாத்தி வழிபட்டு வந்தது.
இந்திரன் அதிகாலையில் இந்த ஆலயம் வந்து தாமரை மலர் சூட்டி வழிபடுவது வழக்கம்.
தனக்கு முன்னர் ஈசனுக்கு மலர் சூட்டப்பட்டு இருப்பதை கண்டு ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு
கண்காணித்தான். அப்போது நள்ளிரவில் நண்டு ஒன்று தீர்த்தக் குளத்தில் இருந்து
தாமரை மலரை பறித்துக்கொண்டு கோமுகம் வழியே ஈசனிடம் செல்வதைக் கண்டு மிகவும்
கோபம் கொண்டான் இந்திரன்.
இந்த நிகழ்வைக் கண்டு கோபம் கொண்ட இந்திரன், லிங்கத்தின் மீதேறி தாமரை மலரை
சாத்த முயன்ற நண்டை கத்தியால் வெட்ட முயன்றான். வெட்டு சிவபெருமான் நெற்றியில்
விழுந்தது. நண்டு உருவில் இருந்த கந்தர்வனை காப்பாற்ற நினைத்த சிவபெருமான்
லிங்கத் திருமேனியின் உச்சியில் ஒரு துவாரத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி நண்டு உருவிலிருந்த
கந்தர்வனை தன்னுடன் ஐக்கியப்படுத்திக் கொண்டார்.
இந்திரனால் சபிக்கப்பட்ட கந்தர்வனே நண்டு உருவில் தன்னை பூஜிப்பதை இறைவன்
அசரீரியாக இந்திரனுக்கு உணர்த்தினார். உண்மையை உணர்ந்த இந்திரன், தனது
தவறுக்காக வருந்தினான். அதனால் இந்தக் கோயிலுக்கு திருந்துதேவன்குடி என்ற பெயர்
வந்ததாக தல புராணம் கூறுகிறது. கற்கடகம் என்றால் நண்டு. நண்டின் பூஜைக்கு
மகிழ்ந்து அதன் சாபத்தை நீக்கி விமோசனம் தந்ததால் இத்தல ஈசன் ‘கற்கடேஸ்வரர்’
என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.
சிவனை நண்டு வழிபடும் சிற்பம் ஒன்று இக்கோயிலில் உள்ள ஒரு கற்தூணில்
செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கற்கடேஸ்வரர் லிங்க திருமேனியில் இன்றும் வெட்டு
தழும்புகள் காணப்படுகின்றன. சிவ லிங்கத்தின் உச்சியில் ஒரு துவாரம் உள்ளது. ஆடி
அமாவாசையும் பூசம் நட்சத்திரமும் கூடிய நேரத்தில் 21 குடம் காராம் பசுவின்
பாலைக் கொண்டு இரவில் சிவலிங்கத்தை அபிஷேகித்தால் நண்டு வெளிப்பட்டு காட்சி
கொடுக்கிறது. இந்தத் தலத்தின் இறைவி அருமருந்தம்மை தீராத நோய்களை தீர்ப்பவள்
என்பது பக்தர்களின் நம்பிக்கை. இந்த அம்மனுக்கு சார்த்தப்படும் எண்ணெய்
வேண்டுவோர்க்கு பிரசாதமாக வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அம்மனுக்கு சாத்தி தரப்படும் இந்த
எண்ணெய் சர்வ வியாதிகளுக்கு நிவாரணமாக உள்ளது.
சந்திரன் இந்தத் தலத்தில் இறைவனை வழிபட்டு சாபம் நீங்கப் பெற்றான். ஆகையால்,
சந்திரனால் ஏற்படும் தோஷங்கள் நீங்க வழிபட வேண்டிய தலம் திருத்தேவன்குடி ஆகும்.
அனேகமாக அனைத்து சிவாலயங்களிலும் சந்திரனுக்கு தனி சன்னதி இருக்கும். அதில்
சந்திரன் நின்ற கோலத்தில் காணப்படுவார். இந்தத் தலத்தில் மட்டும் சந்திரன்
அமர்ந்த கோலத்தில் யோக நிலையில் காட்சி தருவது விசேஷம்.
Miraculous temple where a crab emerges from the linga during abhishekam!
Thiruthevankudi Arulmiku Karkadeswarar temple is located near Kumbakonam,
about two kilometers from Thiruvayalur. This temple is also known as Nandan
Koil. A Gandharva cursed by Indra came to this place as a crab and worship
Lord Shiva. Every day at midnight, the crab plucked the lotus flower that
bloomed in the Tirtha pond and entered through the Gomukham and worshiped
the Lord.
It is customary for Indra to come to this temple early in the morning and
worship with lotus flowers. He watched in surprise to see that Eason had
been showered with flowers before him. Then in the middle of the night,
Indra saw a crab plucking a lotus flower from the Tirtha pond and going to
Eason through Komuga.
Enraged by this incident, Indra tried to cut the crab that was trying to
kill the lotus flower on top of the lingam with a knife. The cut fell on
Lord Shiva's forehead. Lord Shiva, who wanted to save Gandharva in the form
of a crab, created a hole in the top of the Linga Thirumeni and united the
Gandharva in the form of a crab with himself.
Indra's cursed Gandharva worshiped him in the form of a crab, the Lord
showed Indra as an asari. Realizing the truth, Indra regretted his mistake.
Hence Thala Purana says that this temple got its name Thirundadevankodi.
Karkadam means crab. Ithala Eesan is known as 'Karkadeswarar' because he
was pleased with the worship of the crab and removed its curse.
A crab worshiping Lord Shiva is carved on a stone pillar in this temple.
The cut marks are still visible in Karkadeswarar Linga Thirumeni. There is
a hole at the top of the Shiva Lingam. If you anoint the Shiva Lingam with
21 kudam garam cow's milk at night when the new moon and Poosam star meet,
the crab will emerge and give a spectacle. Devotees believe that the deity
of this place is the healer of incurable diseases. The oil poured into this
goddess is offered as prasad to the devotees. This oil given to Goddess
Satthi is a cure for all ailments.
Moon worshiped the Lord at this place and got the curse removed. Therefore,
the place where you should worship the doshas caused by the moon is
Thiruthevankudi. Almost all temples have a separate shrine for Chandra. In
it the moon will be seen in a standing circle. It is special that only this
place is shown in a yogic position in a sphere where the moon is seated.
