Acting Godmen, Friend-philosophers, Seeking to the followers gods' blessings are all in increased quantium than the atoms. A sanyasi does not need any manageable ashrams. Ramana did not start or authorise any ashram but his relations did later and ran it. So Adishankara had only 5 mutts. Kasi had a few mutts. Maybe in other places, old kings' mutts are there. Chola kingdom and the Pallava Kingdom, Kanishka,Guptas and Moryas created Mutts. So it had generations of Pontiffs. Otherwise an office may be there for the Philosophers like J Krishnamurthy. Even Ramakrishna did not create any mutt, Later Vivekanandar did it. And such mutts have members of those cult as heading the mutts. They are service oriented. In Vaishnavism, later created mutts by a few vaishnava gurus, allowed as heads certain leads who may be from Grahastasramam or even without it . Many mutts of those kinds have only the leads who maintain and propagate the system evolved by their Gurus. But in the modern society there are certain personalities, who had a dubious life style unconfirmed, created ashrams, to hoodwink the society , discovering politicians and rich ones, whose wealth they hold, as if bankers are clandestine. Such is the person ,in my opinion, the person you are talking about. And am not interested in such personalities. Many of you profess, you don't know much about Hinduism and veda vedanta. If so, why would you bother about such a cult? Forget about it all and who knows?; even themselves they may have created such incidents to capture better publicities. Nithyananda is now being scanned by courts; so too red clad groups are being pursued; maybe later your man might be facing the truth. KR IRS 251224
