Chapter One: Halloween Vacation
It was October 27th, four days before Halloween. Almost a year after-he-killed
my friends. My Mother. I still remember that night vividly. Me and Quentin at
the old school, trying to find answers, clues, anything. We ended up fighting
fear itself, Freddy Krueger. I didn't think Quentin would make it, Freddy
fucked him up pretty bad. That bastard, Quentin meant everything to me those
crucial three days. After we set fire to the school, Quentin was taken to the
hospital while my mother took me home. I still remember that fateful night.
Start of Flashback:
I walked into the door of our home. I was exhausted. Well, I was more worried
than exhausted. Maybe even both. Quentin was what mattered now, I was safe, I
was ok, Quentin was hurt. I wanted to argue with mom, for us to stay in the
hospital longer, to spend every minute making sure he was ok. But I held my
tongue.
"I want you to go straight up to bed ok?" said mom. "Yeah," I said in almost a
whisper. Mom sighed and took her famous glasses off. She was about to put her
purse down when I decided to get this off my chest. "Hey..Mom..?" I said. She
gave me a worried look. "I know you were just trying to protect me, thank you."
I finished. She sighed and put her things on the table. "I'm just glad you're
safe." She said, her last words. My loud, terrifying, deafening scream pierced
the quiet air. Instead of my mother's reflection in the tall, glass mirror, it
was Freddy's. I was still screaming when he stabbed her through the face,
gouging out her eyes and pulling her into the mirror. The shards of the broken
mirror returned to their place as both my mother, and Freddy were gone. The
only thing that remained was a thick blood splatter, all over the mirror. I
fell to my knees and realized that this was never going to be over. Freddy was
still alive. After ten minutes
passed, my neighbor, Mrs. Greene ran into the house.
"Nancy? Nancy is everything alright!" she screamed. She saw me on my knees,
staring at the mirror. Weeping and sobbing uncontrollably. I wanted to kick,
and scream and shout till there was nothing left inside of me. She noticed the
blood splatter on the mirror, and dialed 911 immediately. Within minutes, there
were cops swarmed through my home. I was rushed to a place called Westin Hills.
I thought it was a hospital. It was. A mental hospital. I talked to a
therapist. Her name was Dr. Westfall.
"Nancy? Nancy honey, can you tell me everything that happened honey? I'm not
here to harm you in any way, shape, or form. I'm here to help you." She said,
in a calm collective voice. "You can't help me now.. He's still alive.. and
he's gonna find me, and kill me." I said, with no emotion. I was staring
blankly at the silver, stainless steel table in front of us. "Nancy, who's
gonna kill you?" "Freddy." "Who's Freddy? A friend, an old boyfriend?" "Freddy
fucking Krueger." I replied harshly. She flinched at the name. "Freddy Krueger?
Who is he?" "A murderer, a killer." "Oh my, Nancy, the authorities are doing
everything humanly possible, to find that killer." "In your dreams." I said, no
pun intended. "Nancy, I'm going to give you something that'll help you."
"What?" "A sleeping pill." "NO! ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? I CAN'T GO TO SLEEP! I
WON'T!" I screamed as I got up. The guard behind me restrained me to sit in the
seat. "Nancy, this will help you, it
cancels out dreams. It's called Hypnocil. Calm down." "NO I WON'T! LET ME THE
FUCK GO!" I kicked and screamed. Dr. Westfall shoved the pill in my mouth and I
swallowed it by accident. I began feeling drowsy and woozy. "No…..Now…He'll
come…and I'll be….dead." I said, as I collapsed on the floor. I wasn't fully
out yet, I could hear Dr. Westfall speaking to the guard. "Put her in room
forty-three, with Laurie, they'll be..an interesting council.
End Of Flashback.
I stood at that mental shit for 6 months. So many useless, bull-shit classes.
The only plus was the no-dreaming, and my roommate, Laurie Strode. She's been
through some crazy shit that same night. I felt bad for her. We shared each
other's pain. The pain of losing loved ones. Last year around this time, a
serial killer stalked her and killed her family, one of her best friends, her
dead best friend's boyfriend, severely injured her other best friend, and
killed her boyfriend as well. He kidnapped her and she fought him off and shot
him in the head.
Me and Laurie got adopted by a foster family, the Estevez's. The family
consisted of a mother, Cheryl Estevez, who was motherly to the bone. She was
skinny, had an amazing physique for a 37 year old woman, and had russet-colored
skin, long flourishing black wavy hair, and dark brown, chocolate eyes. The
father, Danny Estevez, was tall and had fairly white skin, blue eyes, and an
also amazing physique for a 40 year old man. A son, Brian Estevez who was our
age, 17, and had russet skin as well, blue eyes, similar to his father's, an
athletic build, and spiky, jet black hair. The Daughter, Jasmin Estevez, had
the fair white skin of her father, long dark, black hair, and had a striking
resemblance to Sammi "Sweetheart" from the show Jersey Shore. She too, was also
our age. We now lived in a small town in Pennsylvania called Crystal Lake.
Cheryl thought it would be fun if Me, Laurie, Brian, Jasmin, and our friends
Chase, Ricky, and Beth, to go on a camping
trip in the Crystal Lake woods. I decided to go, if it kept the nightmares
away. Dr. Westfall prescribed me a lifetime supply of Hypnocil.
"Hey bitch, you ready?" said Laurie from the driver's seat of the Land Rover.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm ready." "You alright Nancy? You seem distracted." "No no, I'm
good." I said, with a weak smile. "Hey, Nancy, you don't have to go if you
don't want.." said Jasmin from the backseat. I've grown particularly close to
Jasmin as well since me and Laurie arrived in the family. "It's fine Jaz, I'm
ok." "If anything bothers you, you let us know alright?" said Brian. "Gotcha."
I said.
We were almost at the lake. It's been a long drive and I have. To. Fucking.
Pee. "So when are the others getting there?" asked Brian from the back seat.
"Ricky, Chase, and Beth are gonna meet us there." Said Jasmin. "They better
fucking show, I will KICK RICKY'S ASS if he doesn't show up." "Gee, Brian,
hostile much? Leave Ricky alone." "Just cause your boyfriend is the Principal's
so doesn't mean he can always give me shit when he wants. He's forever talking
shit behind my back and I know it." He said harshly. Brian's words; Just
because he's the principal's son, rang in my head. Quentin was the principal's
son. I hadn't talked to him in forever. I sure do miss him. "Hey, he doesn't
talk about you!" "Yes, he does! And next time I hear him I swear-" Brian said
before punching the seat. "Calm down, he only kids around with you." "Oh sure,
calling me dickhead all the time is really a fun-time around." "God, shut UP!"
said Jasmin. "Both of you are acting
like you're fucking twelve years old." Said Laurie. We all laughed at her
sudden burst.
The flashing trees were my television. We were in the woods now. I started
getting a massive headache. I put my hand to my head and shut my eyes tight.
The pain hurt, bad. Probably a migraine. The pain subsided and I opened my
eyes. The woods kept flashing by. "Hey, how much more-" I began before turning
towards Laurie and screaming. Laurie's entire body was on fire and her face was
horribly burnt. "You must help them…" she said, in a loud, raspy, voice. I
screamed and opened my eyes for the second time. "Jesus, Nancy, what's wrong?"
Laurie asked. I realized we weren't moving. "I had a nightmare." I said
sheepishly. "Oh no, not here, not now." She said before grabbing my arm, and
pulling me out of the car to talk in private. "This is supposed to be fun..
Don't think of Freddy now. Think of Woods, trees, and murky lake water!" she
said, smiling. "I know, I know," I said laughing as well. We walked towards the
cabin and heard a deafening scream from
 inside.
"Ricky you fucking asshole!" Jasmin screamed, just as me and Laurie bursted
through the door. "Don't come with that scaring shit!" "Happy Halloween Baby."
Said Ricky, he had a horrifying clown mask on and was laughing as he grabbed
her and planted a kiss on her lips. "Yeah, its 4 days away asshole." She said
slapping in the back of the head, "Besides you know I can't stand clowns." The
room was big, and looked like an actual small ranch house. This must've been
the main cabin. Chase and Beth were sitting on the couch snuggling. "Pull out a
rat, and I'm gonna KILL you." Said Brian. "Chill dickhead, it was a joke." Said
Ricky. I swear I could feel the tension in the air. "Fuck off, asshole." said
Brian before leaving the cabin. I followed him out. He was walking pretty fast,
he was already by the docks of the lake.
"Hey Brian, wait up." I said. "Yeah?" "Don't pay any mind to that jerk off." "I
know Nancy, there's a reason I hate him, I used to like him, he was cool, until
I caught him making out with Beth at the homecoming game." He said. My jaw
dropped. "He did WHAT?" I shouted. It was my turn to be angry. "Yeah, I caught
them behind the bleachers. I threatened him, told'em to stay away from her, but
him and his Jock cunts jumped me and he said If I ever told Jasmin, he'd fuck
me up himself. I tried telling her, but she just told me to mind my own damn
business." "Oh my god that low-life piece of shit!" I said. Brian smiled.
"Promise me you won't say anything? Kay'?" he stuck out his pinky and I wrapped
mine around his, "I promise." "Alright, now let's get this party started!" he
said, throwing his hands up in the air. I laughed and we turned to walk towards
the cabin.
