The human body has many systems. Each one of these systems
handles a unique function and is important in its own way.  An
example of such a system is the immune system.

The immune system is a network of cells that are wholly
responsible for maintaining your body's immunity and overall
health. These cells are similar to an army in the sense that they
attack and resist germs and other parasites and protect your body
from diseases.

It is important to be aware of the role that your immune system
plays in combating diseases. If you often feel tired and/or have
frequent colds and flu it may be an indication that your immune
system is not functioning well.

Symptoms of any disease or infection should be tended to
immediately, with medication if necessary, before symptoms
worsen. Better still, is to prevent disease by strengthening your
immune system.  Try following these few simple guidelines.

 * Understand that there is a close, unseen relationship between
your mental makeup and physical condition. This highlights the
need for you to keep your emotions, stress, etc. under control so
that they do not adversely influence your immune system. This
might be surprising, yet it has been scientifically proven that
if you are under high stress or emotional distress, this may
cause your immune system to weaken.

 * Your dietary practices have the capacity to make or mar the
health of your immune system. Healthy diet coupled with regular
exercise and a positive outlook towards life can make a world of
difference to keep your immune system functioning at peak
performance.
