After some faffing I found that every attempt to run <path/to/current/build> thconfig in the samples directores produces a segfault as soon as therion tried to write out a file. samples.tcl doesn't seem to notice that every therion run has failed. That looks like a bug somewhere. Also every therion.log file is empty. I guess therion explodes before writing anything into those, even though I see some TeX output on the screen. Something appears to be badly wrong in that I am getting segfaults, but that the sample-building process fails to notice that seems like it could be improved. Bedtime for today - more soon.
