Thanks for your thoughts.
Unfortunately it doesn't make any difference.

Coordinate system lat-long is supported as you can read in the Therion book on 
page 14.
Therefore I don't see a reason not to use it. Beside this it did work in the 
past (can't say on which Therion version it was).
And with some of the select statements it still works with lat-long.

But I also tried to use "cs UTM31N".
This didn't make any difference.
Same select statements are working or not... like with "cs lat-long".
