I saw a sneak preview of QoS on Wed. and without giving spoilers, I will say it is probably the most violent Bond movie ever.? Craig is a steel-and-ice eyed killing machine.? I liked it, but...Casino Royale is more enjoyable.? I think they listened to some of the Ed camp's criticism and tried to open the movie up a little, and as a result it sort of has a mixed identity, at times feeling like there are three different directors.? The stuff that works, though, WORKS.? He's good, fool, and I know you're wearing your Sean Connery footie pajamas right now and shaking your rattle with the Brosnan sticker on it, but give it a rest.? Craig isn't the handsome Bond you have printed on your pillow case, he's the killer bulldog Bond you want crashing through the skylight and saving you.
Salmon liked it! The music sucked, though.? They need to address that.? Not anywhere close to a Bond theme.? Better than that awful Audioslave shit from the last one but still no good.? Get Bjork to do one. Oh, the music in the Watchman trailer sucked too!? Yikes, what was that coldplay wannabe shit?? Muse, I am told.? Super bad, like when the Crow went dancing across the rooftops to Stone Temple Pilots bad. -----Original Message----- From: Ed <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: The Unique Geek <[email protected]> Sent: Fri, 14 Nov 2008 10:27 am Subject: [The Unique Geek] Re: Next Bond You just need to learn to ignore Sterling, like I do. And, I'm sure Todd does the same thing. I didn't realize there were replies until Todd's replied. :) As for the recent Craig movies, they're not Bond movies, they're just simple action movies. They don't have the Bond flair since the franchise began. I agree with what Vanessa stated that Connery was the quintessential Bond. There will never be another actor to come close to him in the Bond movies however, Lazenby and Brosnan came pretty close.
