That's kind of bizarre. Obviously the computer is recognizing the
USB2 device plugged into the hub as being USB2 capable, but is
assuming it's plugged into a USB1 or 1.1 port/hub.
Upon further investigation, using my keen, razor-sharp mind and
detective skills (read as: Google is your friend) it's possible your
hub is not truly USB2, only USB2 compliant (see this Wiki link, and
read part about SPEED: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_hub). Yet, in
online reviews of product (I checked Amazon reviews) most people were
satisfied with it, so I guess either nobody cares (it's a cool desktop
decoration powered by usb) or no one has any usb2 devices connected to
their computers. I'm perplexed!

p.s. - I have a non-techie friend (getting him to check device manager
would probably be too much to explain to him) who has this hub
connected to his computer, but I suspect he also just uses it as a usb-
powered decoration, rather than have anything plugged into it. Sorry
to say it, but congratulations, you might just have bought yourself a
cool USB powered paperweight.
