I think that the law of supply and demand is more consistent for needs (e.g. water, food, shelter, etc.); however, when it comes to wants (e.g. comic books), demand is highly subjective to the individual.
In the case of a specialty audience, demand can be extremely high and seem out of context with the greater populus, don't cha think? What do you think the rate of return is on your comic collection?
