Interesting product, but it looks like it's just a USB-connected display with no freestanding function. The non-Mac tablets all seem to have a USB port, so this may be compatible with them. I agree that the tablets coming out aren't a replacement for a full system, they provide what netbooks do- a device for when you don't NEED a full function laptop (and can use some of the benefits of the dedicated device). I for one would love to be able to browse and do simple tasks on a bigger screen than my iPhone affords, all with a battery that lasts 8-10 hours. I'm hoping that by the time I graduate (and don't need to carry a laptop) the market will have settled a bit- going back to a desktop for gaming/power computing and having a 2 lb device with awesome battery life for mobile computing would be great.
