I've seen literally tons of reviews of upcoming Android tablets on Engadget.
I'm very impressed with the iPad (even though it would be a redundant device
for me right now), but the more the better- competition in this field can
only benefit us. I'm still most hopeful about the Notion Ink Adam. It can't
be vaporware, they've had too many prototype videos. The tablets running a
complete OS miss the point; it's a dedicated device, so the experience
should be tailored to a task. The iPad is a great consumption device (to me
it's a Kindle to the Nth degree), the Android tablets will be close to the
same exchanging the support of the Apple App store for more platform
freedom. The tablets running a version of Windows 7 just baffle me; if you
need a complete OS get a laptop.
