-- Shared with Google Share Button Regardless of the validity behind the statement, things just haven't been going well for Microsoft ever since Ballmer took over. They completely missed the boat on portable devices (Windows Mobile 7 is an afterthought, even though it's likely a good OS for smartphones), royally screwed up with Vista, and haven't shown any innovation compared to their rivals. Not long ago Google was little more than a search engine, and Apple ten years ago was scrabbling to revive their main product line.
