Agreed. At this point, what can hurt the WW property, anyway? Or, really any of the Big Three. The last twenty years of bad Superman shows and movies hasn't diminished him. Like, it would be great if they could squeeze a few extra bucks out of her with a hit movie, like with Batman, but if it's a dud (like it will be, guaranteed), she'll still be, "the girl superhero."
They just have the worst marketing and decision-making in the universe. Why change Jonah Hex into a ghost-whisperer? Why wouldn't they do the obvious and make a hard-core Western? A dark, violent Unforgiven-style Western. That's who Jonah Hex is. Why make him Van Helsing? Van Helsing bombed. You used bomb parts to make a bomb. Make a movie about a goddess from girl-town who tries to teach peace to men, eventually needing to get her message across by beating it into them. Game, Set, Match. Those Rucka issues were incredible. There's your template.
