There's an attorney that's class action suit trolling; he's been advertising
for a week now trying to get clients. I think it's pretty obvious they have
a case, but this is more a matter of that firm generating some serious cash
than customers being economically impacted.  I've participated in a couple
of these; you sign on to the case and get a check for $10 six months later,
while the attorney earns a couple million.
Apple could easily have avoided this by just offering free 'bumpers'. The
bad PR will cost them more than those silly rubber bands would. They still
offer some value because of their product line and company name, but that's
rapidly eroding in the face of stiff competition from HTC, Samsung, and
Motorola. I love my 4, but I would have happily picked up a competitor if
necessary.
