Google opened the "evil" door by parading it around constantly to put
themselves over.  So if it is trite then I contend that its their own
damn fault.

Same goes with Apple rebeling against the "evil empire"... The
Simpsons did a great bit on that a few years back with Comic Book Guy
in an Apple Store.
