Glad to see there are still people under 30 who read comics! :-) Other than my 11 yr old stepdaughter, of course-- she likes Owly and Bone and some of the Marvel Adventures books.
I was reading stuff like Richie Rich and Uncle Scrooge and the various (awesomely bad) Gold Key comics such as Star Trek by the time I was probably 5 or 6, which would have been about 1973 or 74. I remember reading one of my brother's JLA comics somewhere in there, and it was okay, but it didn't really grab me. Then came Avengers #162, followed by Avengers Annual #7, in the summer of 1977. It was all over at that point. I was hooked. Only two things have caused me to stop reading Avengers comics in all the years since: 1) high school/college, and 2) Brian Bendis. --Van -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Unique Geek" group.
