Glad to see there are still people under 30 who read comics!  :-)
Other than my 11 yr old stepdaughter, of course-- she likes Owly and
Bone and some of the Marvel Adventures books.

I was reading stuff like Richie Rich and Uncle Scrooge and the various
(awesomely bad) Gold Key comics such as Star Trek by the time I was
probably 5 or 6, which would have been about 1973 or 74.

I remember reading one of my brother's JLA comics somewhere in there,
and it was okay, but it didn't really grab me.

Then came Avengers #162, followed by Avengers Annual #7, in the summer
of 1977.  It was all over at that point.  I was hooked.

Only two things have caused me to stop reading Avengers comics in all
the years since:  1) high school/college, and  2) Brian Bendis.
