So...they showed an extended preview of the Green Lantern movie during the NBA Playoffs, and...it looked...not good. Weird, how I love DC more than Marvel, but get excited by Marvel previews (Cap looks great, Thor looks like they didn't blow it) and repelled by DC previews. It looks like a bunch of computer animators got some fat paychecks, and probably some voice-over actors. Ryan Reynolds looks like he's doing his best, but they have so many challenges to overcome.
1) Most people under 20 think Green Lantern is John Stewart 2) Most people under 10 will think it's a Ben 10 ripoff 3) Most people over 30 hate CGI The Green Lantern Corp looked like the cast of Mars Needs Moms. I don't think it will be a big, stinky bomb, but there's no way it makes "sequel money," Won't be a Jonah Hex failure, more like a I Am Number 4 failure. I don't know, maybe these are things everyone else is saying? Maybe I'm unconsciously parroting things other sites are saying? Does anyone feel like it looks....like they would have wanted it to look? Or doesn't look....very sloppy? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Unique Geek" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
