Okay, I'm gonna be a disgruntled fanboy here... is five years really long enough to wait before your reboot a franchise?
Spider-Man 3 (2007) to Amazing Spider-Man (2012) = 5 years

Maybe so, the rebooted Batman after eight years:
Batman & Robin (1997) to Batman Begins (2005) = 8 years

It just seems too soon for a complete retelling of his origin.  I was prepared to accept just a Spider-Man story that took place in high school.  But to retell the origin again, and possibly include Green Goblin (seemed to be hints to me)?  Ugh.

Also, i could have done without the video game-esque first person shooter footage.
