This sounds like the board game specific version of GenCon.

The thing about a board game convention is that typically you would
not need a "spouse room" or "spouse activities" like at GenCon and I
think some of the other larger Cons.  Because while a BG freak's
spouse may not be as insanely into whatever games the freak is,
chances are they can find SOME game they enjoy playing.

I like the "spouse room" concept but this seems like the overall Con
is more open in general.
