Wow. Are we talking about the same Ridley Scott? The same Ridley Scott infamous
for not filming scenes from the script and making up new scenes based on his
whims of the days? The same Ridley Scott who is well known for creating his
movies in the editing room? Trying to blame Lindeloff (or any screenwriter) for
an incoherent Ridley Scott film is like blaming a miner who dug up the iron for
a bad car - a lot happened before it got to the final form. Even Scott's most
well loved movies feature bizarre plot holes and oddities - dead Lambert's
nakedness, the sixth replicant, the 30-seconds-and-done slave revolt. Scott's
films have always worked more as explorations of atmosphere and theme than
tightly constructed narratives.
