I just had a thought from the improbable-conspiracy-theory portion of my brain (it's an underutilized sector, so the following is totally half-baked):
News of Windows 8 is not encouraging and I'm probably not the only one looking at a computer upgrade/replacement in the near future and therefore moving up the plans to get it done before 8 becomes standard, right? What if Windows 8 is this total joke on the computer-using public to boost sales of Win7 machines to bump up their summer numbers? Returning to reality (and computer shopping)...
