I think the rumor of him being Gary Mitchell from the "Where no man has gone before" is more likely, especially with the inclusion of the blonde, who looks like Elizabeth from that episode. I'm stoked. I gave the last one an A-. ~Ron

The whole purpose of the reboot was to put attractive people in costumes. The plot is immaterial. The first one had a cool atmosphere, fun acting, some hot people, and then... a useless plot, a worthless story, and unnecessary nods to other movies. It's a total C+, though a very sexy C+ with cool lens flares.

This looks like more of the same, but totally suffers from being so close to Iron Man 3 and Dark Knight Rises which use the exact same formula for their trailers. I'm sure it will be better than Transformers and worse than.. Avengers.

Prometheus, which also uses that "BRAAANG!" noise in the trailer suffered from the same thing. The look and atmosphere of the film were insanely cool. The Prometheus trailer is one of the most awesome... it is SO CHOICE! But, the script was a Death Star trash compacter fire.

Caw!

Scott form the St Pete geeks provided an extended trailer from Japan that kind of pissed me off when i watched it.

If they rebooted the franchise just to remake Wrath of Khan with some other character in the Khan role i think i am done with Star Trek on the big screen.
