I am not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic, Serv.  So I will say 
this:
 
Hal Jordan came back because that is the GL which Geoff Johns grew up 
reading.
 
Hal Jordan was in the movie because Geoff Johns is the Chief Creative 
Officer for DC Comics.
 
I've never read Kyle Rayner and I don't have much of an opinion about him.  
I don't see why you couldn't do some of the big GL stuff with him instead 
of Hal.  
 
That having been said I honestly think DC is setting themselves up for a 
crash.  When Johns left Justice Society after having been writing (or 
co-writing) the book for years and years, the title crashed to Earth very 
quickly.  
 
I suspect the same thing will happen here with Green Lantern.
 
I suspect the same thing will also happen with Aquaman when he leaves that 
title.
