You are correct, considering that Marvel literally just announced that Dave 
F'n Batista is playing Drax The Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy 
movie.
 
I'd have no qualms about GSP playing Batroc.  He's a Frenchmen, and he's a 
heck of a fighter.  Either in a flashback like you suggest, or as a hired 
gun who Cap fights and defeats in the beginning of the second act.  
 
*grabs by lapels*  "Who sent you?  WHO SENT YOU?!"
 
"Mon ami... it vas zee Wintair Sol--" BAM, bullet in the head from Winter 
Soldier's sniper rifle.
