I thought that Gabe's comments -- him being no MS fan -- were interesting 
specifically because of the detail he gave in why he uses the device and 
the use he gets out of it.  
 
I think that for all people like to think as one particular device as all 
things to all people, it's important to remember that most times, it pays 
to figure out what you intend to use the device for and find the best fit.  
For Gabe, the Surface Pro delivers the productivity he needs to do the 
strips.  For me, my Touchpad gives me the basic Internet and comic- and 
book-reading that I need without me having to pay 4-5 times as much for 
another product.
 
There is no "one size fits all device," despite what all of the 
manufacturers want us to think.
