Say goodbye to Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn. They never existed now... http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/04/25/its-official-the-star-wars-expanded-universe-is-being-rebooted/
To be fair, I think it's smart of Lucasfilm to be up-front and address what they are doing. It also creates a great jumping-on point for young kids to discover their own EU. We fell in love with the EU in our youth, so I'm looking forward to watching my kids fall in love with their own EU. I guess this will help non-DC Comics readers relate to the pain of the New 52 reboot. I'm sad to see the old EU come to an end, however, I really haven't picked up much new EU material in recent years. So I doubt I'll dive into any new EU books or comics. Going forward I'll seek out old EU element I haven't explored, or reread something that I can't remember. I'm just fine hangin' with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Corran Horn.
