And no, "because the books are awful" is not the point the article is making. If I didn't know that this was a major studio release, I would have assumed that Allegiant was a DTV ripoff of The Hunger Games. And that's a shoot. I saw the trailer for Divergent when my wife and I saw Catching Fire, and I thought it looked ridiculous. Then we saw the trailer for whatever the second one was called, Insurgent (???) when we say Mockingjay, Part 1, and somehow it looked even worse. And *then *we saw the trailer for Allegiant when we saw Mockingjay, Part 2 (notice a trend here?) and it looked like a Full Moon DTV feature. Just let it GO Lions Gate. The Mortal Instruments has seemingly made a more successful switch to TV over features, maybe that is the route for Divergent?
