The downward trend of revenue for the sequels has got to be a concern for 
the studio, though. Allegiant couldn't outgross Zootopia which (while a big 
success) was in it's third week of wide release.  

Lions Gate was banking on YA book series adaptions being "sure things" but 
clearly that is not the case, at least for this series.  They caught 
lightning in a bottle with The Hunger Games and I don't blame them for 
trying to repeat it.
