Some thoughts:

1. It's rare for Newsarama to pay DC this much respect, during the New 52
era they put spoilers in reviews and articles without warning on more than
one occasion.

2. Newsarama says that Rebirth "corrects the cynicism that has informed
mainstream superhero comics for years," well, that is a cynicism which they
have actively fed and cared for, so I find that statement a bit
disingenuous.

3. An 80 page one shot comic by Geoff Johns and several artists which gets
a 10/10 and hype to the skies about how it begins a new era in DC Comics,
which stars a "forgotten" character as the reader identification? Is this
Rebirth or this Countdown to Infinite Crisis?

All this said, I remain unenthusiastic for Rebirth; the solicits have left
me cold and disinterested, with page after page of Batman and Harley Quinn
books in an effort to copy Marvel's current saturation booking style. I'm
down for one book, which I have read pretty much uninterrupted since I was
in high school (The Flash). Yes, I know my opinion is in the minority, and
yes, I have already been chilled out of the discussion because of it.

I'll be over here reading my Valiant books.
