Bundle search, the search is more slow than regular search. When I
looked at the search logs, sphinx search is very fast, but bundle
search is taking more time. For example, look at this sphinx search
query log :
[Sat Sep 4 21:49:33.909 2010] 0.026 sec x4 [ext/2/rel 13768 (0,5000)]
[index_two_core]
[Sat Sep 4 21:49:33.926 2010] 0.030 sec x4 [ext/4/rel 3886 (0,5000)]
[dist_index]
The whole search is less than 30 milliseconds by sphinx. But if i put
a code some thing like this :
t1 = Time.now
searches = ThinkingSphinx::Search.bundle_searches do |sphinx|
sphinx.search_for_ids........
sphinx.search_for_ids........
end
SEARCH_LOGGER.info "bundled search took : #{Time.now - t1} seconds"
*Bundled search took 1.30 seconds!
Any solution to improve this ?
