Hi Madhu
Nothing comes to mind straight away - although it's no surprise than
TS isn't superfast (this is Ruby after all).
I'd be interested in knowing what your queries are, and what you need
the results for, and then maybe we can figure out some improvements.
Cheers

hello pat,
Bundle search, the search is more slow than regular search. When I
looked at the search logs, sphinx search is very fast, but bundle
search is taking more time. For example, look at this sphinx search
query log :
[Sat Sep 4 21:49:33.909 2010] 0.026 sec x4 [ext/2/rel 13768 (0,5000)]
[index_two_core]
[Sat Sep 4 21:49:33.926 2010] 0.030 sec x4 [ext/4/rel 3886 (0,5000)]
[dist_index]
The whole search is less than 30 milliseconds by sphinx. But if i put
a code some thing like this :
t1 = Time.now
searches = ThinkingSphinx::Search.bundle_searches do |sphinx|
sphinx.search_for_ids........
sphinx.search_for_ids........
end
SEARCH_LOGGER.info "bundled search took : #{Time.now - t1} seconds"
*Bundled search took 1.30 seconds!
Any solution to improve this ?
