I don't know that TS officially supports 2.x, but I was just able to build sphinx 2.0.1-beta and use TS to generate a config and index. Things seem to be working okay.
Has anyone else tried 2.x and if so, have you had any issues? For what it's worth, i'm interested in 2.x because there are some new ranking modes that are only available there.
