I stuffed many different disks into my T60p, and they all worked. That I know of, the T43 is the only model that crabbed about disks, and that was only a warning, as they worked OK.
Just don't get your hopes up too much about cache size. Nothing beats your OS in knowing where to get data from; a cache is great when files are contiguous, but for lots of fragmentation the heads may have to wander all over, thus defeating the purpose of the cache. Cache isn't a bad thing to have--and it does help in some circumstances-- but I've seen lots of people expect huge gains, only to be disappointed. --STeve Andre' On Monday 19 January 2009 20:50:53 Bill Johns wrote: > Bruce, > > Thanks for the quick response. > > I'm not sure if my unit has a 7200 RPM or not, I would hope so.
