Hello,

It depends a bit on the type of memory chips being used. For example:

OCZ Vertex 250GB SSD - starts at about $930.00
Patriot Warp 256GB SSD - starts at about $730.00
SuperTalent MasterDrive BX 256GB SSD - starts at about $5900.
Soliddata 256GB SSD - $5585.00
Soliddata 512GB SSD - $2599.00

I'm assuming the SuperTalent and SolidData use more expensive (as well as
faster and longer-lived) SLC chips, while teh OCZ and Patriot use less
expensive (and slower and shorter-lived) MLC memory chips.

Probably the best way to think of them right now, though, is in terms
of ThinkPad W700ds, e.g., one (1) SuperTalent MasterDrive VX 256GB SSD
costs about 1.2 Lenovo W700ds. *grin*

Aryeh Goretsky
