The partition is the second partition, labeled SERVICEV001 with the FAT32 file
system taking up 6.91 GB of space. While I see the Vista Basic decal, the
laptop has WinXP Pro SP3.

I hit the ThinkVantage button and get a screen with the following message and
choices:

Press one of the following keys to continue:

 ESC to resume normal startup
F1 to enter the BIOS Setup Utlity
F12 to choose a temporary startup device

Press ENTER to pause

There's no mention of a Rescue & Recovery partition. I suspect this laptop
got downgraded to WinXP. I don't have any CDs related to this laptop. I
have Super GRUB Disk 0.9770 but I'm not proficient enough to use it to access
that partition.

How do I access the Rescue & Recovery partition so I can restore the R61i to
something close to its original factory state?

Thanks for reading.
