You could hardly do worse than a T23 for reliability. Almost anything you get would be better. They have problems with cracked palm rests, inductors that fall off the mainboard, and dim screens. If you've had good service from yours, you must have been reasonably careful with it, so quit worrying about that factor. I like my T23, but every used one I've bought needed fixing, and I never had any trouble with it after that.

I agree with George and RayBay: spending big bucks for a solid state drive would be wasted on a T23, and T42's are at a sweet spot for price/performance/reliability right now. But they don't have the Core-2 Duo you mentioned.

We need more information: what do you plan to do with it and how much do you want to spend?
