I am currently swapping a hard disk drive running Microsoft Windows Vista
Ultimate Edition between a T60 and a T61p without any ill effects. I have
been asked to re-register the operating system a couple of times, which I
did without any problems.
It may be different between these two models and the operating system you
are running, though.

Hello,
I have a T30. I recently picked up a T40 for a good price. Can I swap the
T30 hard drive directly into the T40? Or do I need to make a bios or other
modification to the T40? The T30 hard drive is 160GB and the hard
drive in the
T40 is 60GB. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
