I had a Samsung HM320JI (which I know is different) in my T60, and it
failed several times in 15 months. Each time I could fix it by doing a
low-level format with Samsung's tool. Each time it worked for a few
months. And each time the drive experienced corruption a few months later.
I sold it with full disclosure and am happy it's gone.
