On old 600E screens, one way of giving them a pinkish shade was reportedly to **run them** in extreme cold. As a kind of confirmation of that, I once bought such a machine ... from Saskatchewan. It gets cold there. Think Minnesota on steroids. The pinkish screen never completely went away, although the pink did seem to fade over the years. YMMV
