If you are using Windows XP, that is the maximum that Windows XP will detecton that machine.
He says he is running Windows 7 x64. He also says the problem is at POST, not in the OS.
Aryeh, I would not worry if the OS finds all 4. If you are concerned, boot to something like Hiren's Boot Disk and run some independent memory tests.
