Hello, Having a 600, 600e, and 600x I would say go for a 600x. The 600 is lacking a couple of features that are in the 600e and 600x.
One problem is the security flaws can remain from one OS version to the next, or more, like this story indicates. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8499859.stm 73 Eric > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of STeve Andre' > Sent: Tuesday, February 16, 2010 1:36 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] 600 Running 2000 > > > On Tuesday 16 February 2010 13:26:12 Rob Bell wrote: > > On Tue, 16 Feb 2010 13:01 -0500, "STeve Andre'" <[email protected]> > > wrote: > > > Windows 2000 is my favorite: faster, less memory consumptive, and > > > more stable, I think. > > > > > > Sadly, unless this machine will be off the net you will have to > > > abandon Win2K I think this year, because MS will no longer be > > > supporting it.
