Hi.
I am not sure if I have asked this on here, but I am looking for a lightweight
distro to run on a ThinkPad 600. It is a 300Mhz with 160MB of RAM. It
originally had Mandriva 2008 on it but it was just too slow.
I would like a Ubuntu based distro, purely because of the software repositories
and hardware support.
I have tried Xubuntu and it was too slow. I have tried Fluxbuntu and it was
rubbish.
If you want Firefox and Flash, you may not be happy with anything.

But I would run Ubuntu, and install as many window managers as you have room
for. Try them all as they run from disk, maybe get a faster hard disk, and
definitely max out your RAM to 288MB.
