We have had remarkably good luck on our purchases from China via eBay...
In
comparisons tests since 2002, we have had more failures (adapter goes
dead)
of official Thinkpad units (T30, T42, T-60) than Chinese no-name units.
Voltage and surge tests are just as good for the Chinese as the Lenova...
but there are differences among the Chinese units that are hard to detect
except by price. We use vendors we have learned to trust, however... and
the difficulty is that delivery time averages 15 days.
These include 760, 765, 600, T-23, T-30, X-31, X-41, T-41, T-42, T-43,
T-52,
and T-60. We have also purchased them for T-61, and T-400, but not
enough
in numbers to make comparative assumptions yet.
One difference. The smaller sized official Thinkpad adapters get hot
most
of the time, and do often do not last two years... whereas the larger
sized
ones work well.
