I last visited about screen problems on my T43, 2687-D4U. Lenovo here in
China replaced the LCD for a screen darkening problem. At the time the
screen would go dark after increasingly shorter intervals, finally staying
lit for less than 5 minutes. Got the new LCD two plus weeks ago and things
seemed fine.
Now a new or newly recognized associated symptom has appeared. If I put it
into "suspend" (FnF4), if I plug in a USB device before awakening it, I am
faced with a darkened screen (can barely make out the contents) AND it has
skipped past the log on screen I expect to see and goes right to where I
last left off. Sometimes I can get it back by unplugging the USB device,
putting it back in suspend and awakening it. More recently, I have had to
shut the machine off and re-start.
Obviously, I ca avoid the detailed sequence but wonder if this is a symptom
of worse to come. Given that I am under warranty another 7 months, I want to
describe this to Lenovo now in a way that gets their attention.
Suggestions??
