Not as far as I know, and I have done a number of re-imagings from
recovery disks. I have owned a succession of Thinkpads over many
years, and have re-imaged them generally about once a year due to the
overall perversity of Windows and its affinity for accumulating
crippling effects such as registry errors, despite my experienced
work at registry maintenance. Sometimes it simply pays to
periodically nuke the OS installation and start over.
You are probably best off doing the restoration from the recovery
disks and then using Partition Magic to re-size or add partitions.
