Slightly off-base but we recently acquired a T410 (non-S) with 9-cell
battery that is only slightly lighter than the desktop it sits on and
stretches the definition of "portable".

Using units from the nice metric system ;-)
X301 w/ 3-cell battery: 1.43 kg
X301 w/ 6-cell battery: 1.52 kg
T410s w/ 6-cell battery: 1.79 kg
So the T410s is 18% heavier than the X301 with the comparable (in terms
of cells) battery, and 25% heavier than the X301 with the 3-cell battery.
