Like many on this list I have several ThinkPads of various vintages lying
around the house. Since my old wireless print server died, I would like to
turn one of the machines, an X30, into a dedicated print server, and
possibly NAS device (I have several USB drives). So, two questions: (1)
Does anyone have software suggestions for this? It can run under any OS that
will run on the X30, and should be willing to serve to both Windows and
Linux. (2) Can anyone see any problem with running the X30 24/7 with the
screen off in a well-ventilated space? I think I can underclock the CPU.
