You must go into C>Drivers>Win>Ethernet and run the setup file from there...

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George

Subject: [Thinkpad] Getting the ethernet driver for a T42

I have never encountered this before: I can't seem to get the right
device driver for a T42 I just got.

Going to the Lenovo site, it seems they've changed things; all I
had to do was say T42 and I got a list of drivers for it, and going down
the list I found the only ethernet driver, 7ira09ww.exe.

But when I put that on the T42 and then tried to use it, by browsing
to it, Windows doesn't see what it wants in terms of an INF file, so
I'm stuck browsing, since I don't have he right driver.

In all the time I've been using Thinkpads, this is the first time I've
not been able to find a driver. This is a T42, model 2373-8k4. OpenBSD
saw this Intel ethernet chip as an 'em' device and I used it to install
test software so I know the hardware is OK.

But I'm stumped. Any ideas? Does anyone have a driver that I could
FTP? I got this unit from Ebay for $149. The hardware is in great shape.

Thanks, STeve Andre'
